ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

 

CALL FOR ABSTRACT

SUME 2018 welcomes your scientific work that will help all of us become better at what we do. We invite work from practitioners, teachers, administrators and others, including all health-related disciplines and all healthcare professions and non-healthcare professions, such as psychology, social sciences and education. We especially encourage students to apply.

You can select your submission to be considered for oral and e-poster presentation. However, the scientific committee will determined whether it will be presented as oral e-or poster presentations.

SCOPES

The abstract comes from original articles, research, or case report. You can submit your abstract with the scopes are mentioned below:

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Abstracts are submitted using online submission system via http://sume.fk.conference.unair.ac.id/login
  • Authors must first open an account with a username and password. Please do not forget to authorize your abstract once submitted. Only authorized abstract will be evaluated.
  • The abstract must be original, never be published or presented at a major national or international meeting prior to SUME 2018.
  • Abstracts of the unfinished researches will not be evaluated.
  • Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline. Otherwise, it will not be considered.
  • All participants (presenting author) whose abstracts have been selected must also be registered in seminar session by the announced date above in order to include the abstract to the final scientific program.
  • Each registrant, who is also the presenting author, is only allowed to submit and present not more than TWO abstracts.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION AND SELECTION RULES               

  • All abstract must be submitted and presented in English.
  • The abstract format is as follows:
    1. Abstract from research: Title, Author(s), Affiliations, Background, Aims, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
    2. Abstract from original article: Title, Author(s), Affiliations, and one paragraph construction includes brief description of the paper and a summary of the key conclusions.
    3. Abstract from case report: Title, Author(s), Affiliations, Background, Case, Discussion, Conclusion.
  • Name of authors(s), affiliation(s), and country of author(s) should  be stated clearly.
  • Abstract titles are written by Bold type and font Times New Romans 16pt, not more than 20 words. Titles of more than 20 words will be truncated. Type the title of the abstract in upper and lower case, using capitals only for the first word, acronyms and proper nouns.
  • Abstract should not exceed 300 words, excluding the title and author(s) details. Subtitle and spaces between words are also not counted.
  • When using abbreviations, spell the full name out on first mention and follow with the abbreviation in parentheses. Do not abbreviate compounds in the title of the abstract.
  • Table, pictures, chart, diagram, or graphics must not be included in the abstract.
  • Abstract that has been submitted will then be selected and reviewed by members of the scientific committee.
  • Please ensure that your e-mail address is accurate at the time of submission. All correspondence will be sent via e-mail to the corresponding author.
  • The corresponding author will receive an e-mail confirming that the submitted abstract has been received. Authors can also check on the review status of their submission.

 

EVALUATION CRITERIA

  • The evaluation by the reviewers is based on scientific interest in the topic assessed, sufficiency of provided data, innovation and educational impact

 

GUIDELINE FOR ORAL PRESENTERS

  • Oral presentation was done by power point presentation style.
  • Please save your presentation to a USB memory device.
  • The use of personal laptops is not allowed.
  • Oral presentations will be judged by a panel of jury.
  • Presentation tools like LCD and slide projector will be provided by the committee.
  • Details on the schedule of presentation will be given after the confirmation of acceptance.

 

GUIDELINE FOR E-POSTER PRESENTATION

Poster will be presented by e-Poster:

  • All posters to be presented in English, landscape orientation and in image file format (JPEG or PNG).
  • File size should not exceed 25MB and in exact resolution of 1920x1200 pixel.
  • Detailed information for e-Poster submission and presentation will be given after the confirmation of acceptance.

 

PUBLICATION

Authors are encouraged to submit the Full text of their accepted abstract. The full text of accepted abstract will be submitted for review to a Scopus-indexed publisher. An additional fee could be charged for papers that are accepted to be published in a Scopus-indexed proceeding.
